Have you ever wanted to make your own films? Are you interested in showcasing your cleverly edited family movies? Are you a vine expert or you-tuber? Do you want to try something completely new to challenge your creativity? Tumbleweed Theatre announces a call for submissions to their first digital short film festival!! Tumbleweed Shorts Tumbleweed Theatre will be hosting a digital short film festival on September 26-27, 2014 as part of Alberta Culture Days. Submission of films is open to anyone. Directors do not need to be a member of Tumbleweed Theatre. Requirements are as follows: 1. The film must consist of original work or should be in the public domain. This includes film and content. 2. The film must be digital. 3. The film may be from 30 seconds to 15 minutes in length. 4. All edits must be completed prior to submission. Tumbleweed is not responsible for any editing of films. 5. Films must be submitted by September 19, 2014. 6. Tumbleweed Theatre is not responsible for any costs associated with the production of the film. Associated costs are the director’s responsibility. 7. There is no restriction to genre or content, however, all films will be screened by Tumbleweed prior to the public screening. Any films deemed inappropriate for Tumbleweed audiences will not be included in the festival. 8. Directors will be invited to participate in a question and answer session at the film festival. 9. Tumbleweed Theatre will not own the film or any rights to distribute it except for the right to show the film up to six times for a public audience. 10. Directors will not be paid for their film submission and there is no entry fee for this festival. This is a showcase opportunity only. Be creative, use your imagination and grab your iPhone!
