Have you ever watched one of your favorite music videos on mute? How you depict a story from hearing absolutely nothing changes your perception and helps you to tune into other elements. Silent films had no voices but there was music for the drama and action. We still need sound sometimes for dramatic affect but what if we could not hear a thing like a deaf person with only eyes to see? Theres no way to miss what youve never had but the way the world appears through the eyes is different than when sound is there. If I had to lose one sensory Im not sure what it would be... maybe my eyes because I have an imagination and thrive on details and living in my mind. I love sound and can use it to maneuver in life because thats what deaf people learn to do. Sound is a guide.
