Have you ever wondered if God has “lost your file”? Do you - TopicsExpress

Have you ever wondered if God has “lost your file”? Do you ever slip into a fog of the day to day and start to feel all alone? Have you ever got so overwhelmed by life that you begin to question the existence of God? I have been on that spiritual journey for many years. God has never left me. My needs have always been met, yet still I have the pain in my heart of the dis-connectedness of God more times than I care to admit. My journey has been one of great fear. I know that God calls me to do great and wonderful things and the fear is proportional to the magnitude of what he calls me to do. I have gotten in my own way and sometimes I don’t even have the common sense to get out of my own way or know that I am even in my way. I am so blessed by our wellness program. Our amazing and wonderful wellness patients who show up to the game every day and want to change their lives. I stood in our exercise class room last night with almost thirty folks and felt the passion and commitment in every soul there. I could almost palpate the energy. I have been a doctor for many years. Fourteen to be exact. I have had the privilege and the honor to serve so many patients. Now it’s different though. I have the opportunity to truly help people change their lives on every level. I know that my mission is to empower people to take care of the vessel that God has given them. I know that he speaks through me every day with a message of hope. If you put a mouse in a pail of water with no light he will give up swimming and drown on average fifteen minutes. If you put a mouse in a pail of water with the lights on he will swim on average three days. Hope is such a powerful thing. It’s so interesting that patients come to me looking for hope everyday. I was searching for hope in my own way and have found it through the very people that I serve. They have shown me what hope can do. They have lost dangerous belly fat and reversed disease processes that they have had for many many years. I wasn’t sure that patients could really change their own lives. That they could do it with me not because of me, or a prescription pad or a medical degree. I say, “I am responsible to my patients not FOR them”. They are making changes and loving life. This new awareness has restored my “hope” tank. That what I do is not in vain. That people can empower themselves to heal mind body and spirit. So, to those of you who show up and are committed to health and wellness, I thank you. You may have thought you were doing it for yourselves but you have restored my hope!
