Have you expressed your feelings toward the ones you love this - TopicsExpress

Have you expressed your feelings toward the ones you love this week? Have you bought the perfect gift or made plans for the perfect meal? Have you written a love letter to them? This message is a reminder for you all to do just that. Tell them how much they mean to you and how much you love them each and every day but most of all, show it to them because when love is felt, the message is heard! You can always give without loving, but you can never love without giving. Showing how you feel IS telling how you feel! William Shakespeare once wrote, “Love sought is good, but given unsought, is better.” When we give our loved ones unmerited love, unexpected love and love they never knew, we are doing for them what God does for us. We dont deserve His love, sometimes we dont expect it and its a love like we could never know! Showing that kind of love is godly love or what the bible calls agape love! I love Angela but I could never love her as much as God loves us! I could only hope to show my love in the magnitude and splendor that He does. I try, but I know I fall short. God too has given us a love letter; its the Bible, Gods Holy Word. In it you will find out how much He really does love you! One verse says so very much, but all of its words speak volumes of how great His love is for us. So, as God has given us a love letter with so many stories and wisdom for us to read, we should also write a love letter to our wives/husbands. Share with them your hopes and dreams. Tell them how much you love them. Sometimes its easier to write your feelings down than to speak them. Its time for us all to step up to the plate and be men and women of God! Men, be like Boaz! Women, be like Ruth! Show godly love and wisdom toward your spouses and loved ones! Even if you dont know where to start, 1st Corinthians 13 can be a great beginning of understanding what true love is. Verse 4 begins with, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. Move forward to verses 11-13 declares even more words of wisdom. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child; I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Basically when you grow up, you know and understand the true meaning of what love is. You know how to recognize it and how to show it. Try it today! You will be glad you did! God bless you all!
