Have you forgotten your windows password? Do you seek elevated previlleges in Windows? Or simply the situition ineviably requires you to somehow bypass the Windows login password. Cry no more because not even I will take pity with you! (Disclaimer: Although I discourage the use of such knowledge for unlowfull purposes, I believe in keeping you aware of its existence. I shall therefore take no blame for the consequences, whatsoever.) You may use the following methods graded from learner to novice. 1.First, boot your PC in safemode to bypass password prompt. If it still asks for the password dont shiver...this method is probably not meant for you. Common cause is that the password was set during Windows installation. 2.Download any of the following konboot officepasswordsrecovery.blogspot/2014/05/kon-boot-24-and-2014-free-download-how-To-Reset-Windows-Admin-Password.html ophcrack liquidtelecom.dl.sourceforge.net/project/ophcrack or Hirens Boot CD hirensbootcd.org/download/ burn any of those to a CD or Flash disk, them boot form the medium (flash or CD.) Konboot will bypass the password and ophcrack will do exactly that which is prefixed in its name. For Hirens Boot CD, navigate to password removal tools. It will delete the SAM file which contains the windows password in C:\windows\system32\config 3.For those to whom the internet is a nightmare...and right now you are reading this post from Zero Facebook, no airtime,you know. Pick up your Windows installation Disc, or atleast borrow one coz this is last resort! While this password reset procedure for Windows 7 would classify as a hack of sorts, theres no software to download or extraordinary computer skills required. If you can follow directions, you can reset your Windows 7 password this way. Boot from the Windows installation disc and choose choose your language, time and keyboard preferences then click next. Go to the bootom of the screen and select Repair your computer. Select your windows installation from the list after the search, then click next.(Keep in mind the letter of the drive where windows is installed. Its D by default , but yours could be different.) Choose command prompt from the list of recovery tools and execute the following commands copy d:\windows\system32\utilman.exe d:\ press Enter copy d:\windows\system32\cmd.exe d:\windows\system32\utilman.exe press enter. Please note the spaces(after copy and .exe) Remove the medium and press restart. Click the Ease of access button and reset the password from the command prompt by executing the following command net user username password where username and password are your new user name and password. While it may be very tempting to call it quits right now, its important that you now take the necessary steps to:Prepare for the future event of forgetting your password again so you dont have to go to all this trouble next time. You may do that by creating a password reset disk. I wont take the pains of explaining that right now. 4.For novices, you must by now be familiar with Kali Linux, which I believe is the most advanced penetration testing distribution, at least available to the general public....damn it I am out of time!
