Have you guys seen this trend lately from conservative media outlets whipping Americans up over alleged coup within the military? Just like when Todd Starnes falsely reported that anti-Christian was being appointed to a military position, these outlets dont consult anyone thats even a veteran or currently serving or dig any deeper into these stories. They just repeat, repeat, repeat for clicks, clicks and clicks. From the article, which claims these pre-deployment soldiers were also told if youre pro-life youre a terrorist: //The soldier would not release his name, out of fear of retaliation.// Likely, because he doesnt exist. This smacks of typical Todd Starnes substance-less sensationalism. Where was he deploying? Afghanistan? Because thats really surprising that military leaders would stand in front of a crowd of soldiers on the eve of deployment and tell them the Tea Party is their greatest threat and that being pro-life is treason! Also alarming is that out of all those patriots only one guy came forward, anonymously, to Todd Starnes. American soldiers are some of the most patriotic individuals that I have ever met, many of which are gun-owning men from the south that lean conservative. Out of an entire room of 30, I would wager half are conservative. So this un-nammed, un-ranked military official stood in front of that room and warned them about the Tea Party? There are undoubtedly instances of anti-conservative bias within the military. I just dont buy this story and there is zero evidence this took place. Did anyone pick up the phone and find out where this report came from? Were there other soldiers that corroborate this? Did anyone investigate? What it looks like to me is that Ben Swanns tabloid reporter Kristin Tate, who notoriously repeats false information, employs hyperbole and does her best to earn money-for-clicks without actually researching any of the information she spreads is doing what she does best: hack repeating of stories that will whip people up into sensationalist fervors to draw traffic to the website. I really admire Ben Swann and Im very disappointed to see this downward trend. Dont exploit the fear of the American people and soldiers that are concerned for the tyrannical course of their country for clicks. Do some investigating. Find evidence. Ask questions. Dont just repeat what discredited sources are saying about some very serious trends. The sinister implications of these allegations should not be tossed around so carelessly.
