Have you heard about the Heartbleed bug? It seems that most of you - TopicsExpress

Have you heard about the Heartbleed bug? It seems that most of you have given the number of questions Ive received about it. Yes, its a real thing but dont buy in to the over-hyped, sensationalized headlines. Theres no need to panic. HOWEVER, the Heartbleed bug is a very big deal and yes you need to change your passwords...ALL OF THEM. You need to make sure the website your logging in to has fixed the problem FIRST. Its pointless to change the password before its been fixed. The link at the end of this post can check a website and let you know if it might be vulnerable to the bug or if the site has been updated and fixed. Im not going to get in to the details of the bug here. This post is only to inform everyone of the reality of the Heartbleed bug and let you know what you need to do. 1. Visit the site at the end of my post. 2. Type in (or copy and paste) the web address of the site you want to check. 3. If the site has been fixed, login and change your password. 4. If its undetermined about being fixed or, if it tells you that it hasnt been fixed, you should probably wait to login to that site until it has been updated. One thing Ive read a few times is that the Google Chrome browser and Chrome OS were not affected by the bug. So if you only used Chrome for web browsing you should be ok...should. Im still looking for specifics regarding that claim. Ill post more info as I verify it. Heres the link to check a website for the Heartbleed bug - https://lastpass/heartbleed/
