Have you heard about the Latino Leadership Initiative from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work? Its muy bien. There is a growing need for social workers to learn about the Latino culture and the Spanish language to assist Latino communities both in the US and abroad. Thats where BC comes in. The GSSW has set up a specific set of foundation and method courses, such as Diversity and Cross-Cultural Issues, that are available in Spanish as well as in English. This illustrates its commitment to a global view of practice and policy in social work and preparing students to serve an increasingly diverse clientele. Be proud, Eagles.
