Have you heard of Futurama? I did not know such a show existed. Today I watched one episode with my grandson, Sagan. A guy named Fry, cryogenized for a 1000 years awakes. And finds that his old place of employment has been fossilized (a pizzeria) along with his dog Seymour. They try to bring Seymour back to life with his genetic remains, but Fry stops it at the last minute, for, in my humble opinion, a crappy reason. The cartoon ends showing poor Seymour waiting 12 years in changing seasons for Fry to return. And I cried. Over a cartoon....I am such a wuss....
