Have you heard of Gagauzia? (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Welcome_to_Gagauzia.jpg) If not, read the wikipedia piece on Gagauzia or read this article (neweasterneurope.eu/articles-and-commentary/1097-moldova-the-eu-and-the-gagauzia-issue). Although this may sound like taken from a surreal comedy about Eastern Europe [King Ubu or Borat (actually partially filmed nearby) or the fake guidebook on Molvania come to mind], this infinitely small piece of land in the middle of nowhere might become the next Crimea. So thanks to Putin we would probably have some more fun soon.
