Have you heard of MenCare, a Global Fatherhood Campaign? In Edinburg, Texas next week, we are joining with Nurse Family Partnership and local stakeholders to design a MenCare Fatherhood campaign for residents of the Rio Grande Valley. Globally, an overwhelming amount of evidence confirms that engaged, responsive fatherhood and men’s participation in their children’s lives have positive effects for women, children and men themselves; these benefits include, among others, gender equality, women’s empowerment and non-violence. MenCare is a global fatherhood campaign. Our mission is to promote men’s involvement as equitable, non-violent fathers and caregivers in order to achieve family well-being and gender equality.
