Have you heard of The Washed Ashore Project? Environmental activists in Bandon, Oregon are gathering up trash that washes onto Pacific beaches and are using it create large-scale educational art about the sea life that is threatened by trash in the Ocean. Hit LIKE and SHARE if you support this awesome effort to educate the public about what happens to our waste after we throw it away. (Our online campaigns manager, Vanessa Kritzer, took this picture of a jelly fish sculpture made of plastic bottles when she stopped by their headquarters last week. They told her that bottles from the 2008 Beijing Olympics are still washing up on Pacific shores today!)
