Have you heard the story about an exotic cat that showed up in Ken Bastidas yard? Ken is an anchor at KPIX CBS San Francisco Bay Area. Great story about his efforts to rescue the cat. He just did an update on the story: After a few weeks of eluding my attempts at capture... I was able to trap the big cat late last night. Turns out sardines in oil is the irresistible combination that did the trick. The big cat is fine... and after closer examination might be a male Savannah or possibly a very large Silver Bengal. At any rate the animal was transferred this morning to the good folks at County Animal Services who inform me that it does have a microchip! Every attempt will be made to reunite owner and pet! Thanks to the help from Brigitte at the Savanna Rescue Organization.
