Have you noticed that I keep exclaiming WOW at Bens midwifery to a developing dialogue between Mormon and the LGBT communities (read, just folks at the grassroots -- not formal talks between general authorities and the ACLU)? Heres what Ben has to say: People. My show about gay Mormons--the very same one that I performed at the Mormon church and in NYC--will be at The Back Door [Bloomington, Indiana] for one night only! Thats right, this Tuesday it will become the only play I know of to perform at both an LDS church and a gay bar. You want to talk about building bridges? The Back Door, in a gesture of welcome, is suspending their usual two-drink for events just for that night so all of you Mormons can come! Ill just repeat that: The local GAY BAR is making accommodations so that MORMONS can come to the show! Its going to be an amazing night that you do not want to miss. (If you do miss it, there will be another performance the following week at Rachaels Cafe. More on that soon!)
