Have you past your test and considering your first bike ????? Consider the front fork rake, handle bar position and footpeg position ! Cruisers, forks point a long way forward making them very stable but not so manoeuvrable. Bars may be high and long pegs forward your in a lay-Z-boy chair here. Tourers, forks raked back stable comfort with manoeuvrability bars positioned for long ride comfort pegs straight down again ergonomic position. Commuters, forks are raked back to make them more manoeuvrable but still very stable and forgiving. Easy to ride bars and pegs just where you need them. Sports tourers, forks raked back further, still stable and forgiving whist giving comfort and manoeuvrability bars slightly further forward and pegs slightly further back but with comfort and progress in mind. Sports, raked further back less forgiving less stable less comfortable very manoeuvrable bars getting lower and pegs further back not designed for larger rider or for distance riding. Good core muscles to take body weight. Super sports, forks raked right back were talking shopping trolley wheels here, always on the ragety edge dont look at that hedge or you will be eating brambles !!! Bars very low pegs right back designed to be hanging off round every corner and riding fast you need a good 6pack to save your wrists. Whatever you choose enjoy your bike, ride safe and always Nod !
