Have you registered for the UNPACKING PLACE, PEDAGOGY and DOCUMENTATION CONFERENCE - SATURDAY 15 MARCH 2014 Held as a collaboration between Semann & Slattery and Macquarie Universities Institute of Early Childhood. This is the last “Unpacking” conference. Since 1996 these occasional conferences have unpacked ideas around the educational experience of Reggio Emilia in Australian and international contexts. This conference covers a broad-sweep of ideas. Place theory and its emphasis on being within and ‘present’ in a space/place will challenge participants to extend such mindfulness to pedagogy and documentation. The last ever “Unpacking” will offer a bridge to the future. As a stepping stone in opening the suitcase of ideas about the relationships intertwined with place, pedagogy and documentation, this gathering will be an opportunity to build on known understandings and challenge unchallenged assumptions.
