Have you seen the movie Downloading Nancy? It was filmed in Regina in 2008. They filmed a scene here at the First Tee, with one of the movies stars, actor Rufus Sewell - the bad guy in A Knights Tale, opposite Heath Ledger - who had never golfed before. He came in and took some lessons with my staff a week before they shot the scene, but on the night they shot the scene he was uncomfortable hitting shots, so the director asked me to stand in for him. They began by filming Rufus hitting shots into the screen and turning around and talking to one of the (empty) chairs, as if he was carrying on a running conversation with a buddy. Then we switched clothes, and I was filmed - from the waist down - hitting shots into the simulators screen, wearing his pants and shoes. Lol. It was an enlightening experience - a real eye-opener, seeing what goes on in the filming of a motion picture. When you see, at the end of a movie, the hundreds of names in a films credits ... well, now I understand why. From what I remember, there were 30-40 people involved in the shooting of that one scene.
