Have you seen the police K9 teams in our community this week? You may see some helicopter activity around our area today as those teams continue to train in our community. The below advisement was published by the York County Sheriffs Office: YCSO FYI: During the week of December 7th – 11th, 2014 the York County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its 16th annual Police Bloodhound Handlers Winter Seminar at the Kings Mountain State Park located near Clover, South Carolina. There will be more than 20 different agencies in attendance for the training from across North and South Carolina, as well as K-9 handlers from Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, Florida, Colorado and Alabama The training seminar is structured for beginner to advanced tracking bloodhounds, and for continued training for handlers. Throughout the week, training will be conducted in wooded, residential and town areas mainly on the west side of York County. The seminar will conclude Thursday, December 11th, 2014. During this time citizens in York County, mainly around the Kings Mountain, Clover and York areas may see bloodhound teams training. Also Wednesday there will be helicopter activity flying near the town of Clover.
