Have you seen the problem with poor or NO cursive writing? Students are receiving a deficient education without cursive writing, without higher levels of math as found in Common Core Standards and cutting out 40% the literature for younger students and 70% for high school students also in Common Core Standards. In Oklahoma we stopped the mandate for ALL students and ALL schools to implement Common Core. Only those administrators who are deceived about this experimental philosophy are still doing it. It is built on a framework for workforce training. I call it edu-training NOT education. Of course the billions invested to push students into technology delivered curriculum and testing is have an impact on cursive writing!! WHERE is the COMMON SENSE... let alone the research based and proven methods we know produce well educated individuals? -Linda Murphy, Oklahoma Educator
