Havent posted a Becca update for a few days. Were now halfway through our month of scheduled hospital time. The biggest challenge this week has been temporary diabetes brought on by the steroid shes receiving. Its been an ongoing battle to get her blood sugar down, especially since shes eating a ton now (another side effect of the steroid). The diabetes is expected to subside after she comes off the steroid in a couple days, but well have to keep doing the toe pokes and insulin shots for awhile after we bring her home. The other big issue this week is Christies sickness. She hasnt been able to come to the hospital since Wed night, and it looks like another day or two yet. So Ive been living at the hospital apart from one night that grandma covered, and another break this afternoon. Huge day tomorrow when Becca gets a bone marrow scan, which will show us where were at with the cancer at this point. We may not get the results till Tuesday. Will post another update then.
