Havent posted much in the last month, mostly because its been a very complicated one full of uncertainty, and just didnt know what to say. Our last visit to UAB was just what I said, great blood results for Jeff. The uncertain part was the CT scan was iffy, they saw something they werent sure about in his liver and wanted to have him come back for an MRI the next week. Couldnt get it scheduled quite that quick through the insurance, so scheduled it for two weeks. Then things just crumbled under our feet. His affordable (what a misnomer that is!) health care plan was cut off two weeks early before Medicare kicked in, through no fault of ours. Even with the health care people admitting it was their fault, the bureaucratic nightmare that followed put him without the means to purchase his life-sustaining meds or schedule his MRI. We really had to scramble to figure out how to get the meds he needed, and we couldnt get the MRI scheduled until Medicare kicked in. Three weeks of horrible uncertainty have been finally somewhat alleviated by our visit to UAB again this past Friday. The MRI was very similar to one performed in January, Dr. Eckhoff does not think there is a malignancy. However, all the scans will be put before a tumor review board next Friday, so please please please keep us in your prayers that nothing will be found to be wrong. A reaction to the dye they used in the CT scan 5 weeks ago is still causing some unpleasant side effects in Jeff that has added to the stress, very slowly resolving. On a much pleasanter note, had a great visit from our daughter-in-law Laura this weekend, and we are all getting more and more excited about the impending arrival of Amelia Lynne! Love to all of you!!
