Having 4 boys and instilling my views of hard work and dedication and practicing with them, multiple sports for hours and hours... its rewarding to see their efforts payoff during games. Everyone in the stands can recognize a boy who practices more than at the mandatory practice the coach has a couple times per week. Of course Im proud of their on field successes. Last night was something all together different..... Last night Aiden and Carson BOTH received the Student Character Award at the Board of Education. They presented the award to one student from each school in Gardner/Edgerton. Moonlight Elementary currently has about 400 students and Wheatridge Middle School has 352 students. Amazingly, 2 of my sons were chosen by their teachers and principal for their outstanding character and academic success. Cage and Carson go to the same school so it wouldnt have been possible for all 3 to receive the award this quarter. Hearing their principals speak about my boys and how they handle themselves in school was by far and away the most proud accomplishment Ive witnessed them achieve. I was nearly in tears. Couldnt be more proud boys!
