Having a business, wether it be traditional, online, Franchise, Network Marketing, it all goes like this.... For 7 years, I managed and directed one of the top Michelin Star Restaurants in London. And in that 7 year period, we had 3 major setbacks... In 2007 we had a flood in our basement that flooded the gas mains....this took two weeks to sort out which meant no cooking, no extraction and no customers - loss of earnings and massive losses in revenue. In 2009 we had a fire in the kitchen and had to shut for 4 months to refurbish the main dining room and kitchen...too short to let all staff go and too long to just keep everyone on.... In 2011 we had the whole ash cloud debacle that stopped all flights in and out of Europe for weeks. This affected out numbers drastically too! Each time, this felt like major setbacks....We were gutted! It meant went only lost money but also face value with out regular customers. BUT, determined and not giving up, each time, we came out stronger and braver and fitter than before. We fought back and never quit. What valuable experiences!!! I see my business like this. Each setback I have, is a fire or a flood. I am NOT going to quit just because of that. I have to put my chin up and keep on working and building around the obstacles. That is what makes true success. The get up after each fall! Not throwing in the towel and jumping to the next opportunity! Stick at it and with it. Think out the box!!!! Change your game. UP your game. Be better and smarter than your problem! Thats when you succeed!!!!
