Having a mother who used to work in a psych hospital with people who struggled with bi-polar just like Robin Williams, I have a deeper understanding of his struggle than most. Let me say that the depression he felt is BEYOND any sadness that we experience. Its a deep, heavy, awful sadness that NO ONE wants or deserves. To say his suicide was JUST a choice is to minimize the reality of mental illness. Mental illness is REAL, and affects so many people. Although the suicide itself was a decision, it was CAUSED by a low that was so miserable he felt he had no other choice. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take time to understand the illness before accusing anyone. Love and mourn like Jesus would. Do not condemn and hurt. Take a look at some of Davids deepest moments of despair in the Bible. It isnt far off to assume he may have suffered from an anxiety disorder or depression. His anxiety and/or depression, then, would be deeper than what we all experience. Yet he was still considered a man after Gods own heart. See how Jesus loved him through it? Lets take example. Sometimes a simple CHOICE really isnt all that simple.
