Having another one of those Why the Little Red Hen never made - TopicsExpress

Having another one of those Why the Little Red Hen never made bread again moments,. A lady called saying she had her cat neutered on Monday and watched us drop the cat 3 times as we put it in a cage and now it is limping. Really. Not even remotely possible as 1: owners do not go back into the surgical waiting room while we put up the cats, 2 the room is positioned so the door is not even visible from the reception room, and 3 we do not drop peoples cats when transferring them in their carriers. If I remember correctly this lady was a little high strung and now evidently is needing a little drama in her life. I offered her to bring the cat back in on Monday and we would have the vet look at it, she declined and warned me to be more careful. Yes, yes I will but not about dropping the cat, since that did not happen, but I will be very careful about scheduling anymore surgery for this particular person. Do cats ever get unhappy and try to escape as we transfer them you bet ya, some are even successful and faster than we are. That is why the door to the room is always closed during transferring and the window shut as they can be crafty little critters. But the few successful ones are all gently recaptured and placed in their waiting cages. We have never dropped and broken someones cat, LOL, usually it is the tech, the vet, or myself who sustains injury when dealing with fractious felines.
