Having been away for a month and returned with a surprise! The Provincial water authority of Chiang Mai disconnected the supply over a THB 171.21 outstanding!! (Did not miss any digit)lol. Went to 7 Eleven to pay but the system refuses. Got to go in person to the office with documents and pay additional THB 320.10 for reconnection charge. The amazing thing was by the time I got home from the water authority, it was all connected although I was told the earliest connection is the next working day. Amazing Thailand!! To avoid future disruptions, I went to the bank to get the all the Giro instructions sorted out. So much for understanding how things work in Thailand.
