Having been raised in Africa I rarely met my cousins when I was growing up. Indeed it has only been in the recent years that I have had the opportunity to get to know my cousin Larry, his wife Joan and their four children. We have been to visit them in London and they have come to Kenya to visit us and we really enjoy each other’s company! Larry and Joanie have become great supporters of #ElephantVoices and most recently Larry named an elephant after his mother, my aunt, Merilyn, who passed away some years ago. The elephant is a beautiful female in the Mara Elephants Who’s Who database, f0313, who I believe to be the daughter of my favourite Mara matriarch, Big Mama. Here she is with her baby born early last year. Joyce
