Having been treated poorly by police officers in many situations that were on behalf of someone else and one related to a family member, I fully support sweeping reforms to all departments. Its much needed and I hope the protests dont stop till departments adopt the following policies: Officers shall not steal cash from you during an arrest and not get it back ever (current practice, many of my friends were effective robbed by officers, its current practice), officers shall take sensitivity training as it relates to dealing w/ citizens who suffer dementia/Alzheimers, down-syndrome, autism, schizophrenia, and other various mental disabilities, officers shall wear cameras that record interactions w/ the public, and officers shall only use tasers instead of guns.
