Having just passed through Eid al Adha and all the celebrations, meat for dinner and so on, I was talking to someone about whether our meat is really halal or not. What we both came up with was the conclusion that it could be very possible some meat might be fed with animal feed. That was alarming. The only animals we eat are, of course, herbivores and it is a known fact that animal feed can have protein from other animals! Alarm bells went off and we are now searching for a local farm that will keep grass-fed sheep for us and possibly a cow or two! Think about it. The following article talks about this but the headline is a bit misleading. He DOES actually have halal meat but from a reliable source.
