Having just seen the directors cut of Ridley scotts BLADE RUNNER - TopicsExpress

Having just seen the directors cut of Ridley scotts BLADE RUNNER on the BIG screen, I am surprised at 3 major elements: 1) it is really really a very dark film . extra noir, if you must, but enjoyable, regardless. 2) the directors cut truly is a masterpiece, and its like seeing a whole other film in its entirety, compared to the release of BR in 1982. Highly recommended. 3) Ridley scott clears makes several Christian allegories in the film Blade Runner, and its interesting to note that Legend, Aliens, Prometheus (a dreadful film) and Kingdom of heaven each have threads of spirituality, Christianity, redeption, sacrifice, and good triumphing over evil, running as themes in his body of work. More later, as I want to further digest the buffet of cinematic beauty I witnessed!
