Having just spent an interesting weekend at Thoresby Hall Winter - TopicsExpress

Having just spent an interesting weekend at Thoresby Hall Winter Food Festival in the company of Chilli Bob and his cool dude son Neil, I feel there could be some credence in this article! Imagine the temptation I have just faced at a Food Fest. . . two whole days surrounded by cakes, chocolates, pies, and other yummables, I could have spent the whole time nibbling on sample goodies and the freebies that the lovely generous stall holders kept offering me. However, having sampled Chilli Bobs wares quite early on in the proceedings, I found my appetite for the sweeties was non existent.I treated myself to a couple of jars of Bobs finest products and enjoyed a few dollops with my dinner last night. . . result. . no cravings for nibbles later in the evening. Today, I waited for Bob to do his cookery demo, 3 delicious chilli based dishes, and had a very small cup of his hottest fare. Delicious! Appetite sated. . . I didnt think about eating again until I got home and prepared a yummy dish of mushrooms, curly kale, potatoes and . . . chilli. Same thing. Hunger sated and no urge to look in the biscuit tin. Could this be the way forward? Fortunately I love chilli based dishes so I am willing to give it a go for the next week, chilli on everything! Lets see if I cant shift a few pounds that landed courtesy of a late summer croissant obsession. There are health benefits to eating chilli too, check out nutrition-and-you/chili-peppers.html. Ill keep you posted if I havent exploded with the thermo neuclear chilli induced heatwave! x
