Having kids is one of those things that change you, I think. It seems like a lot of people that dont have them (and arent actively trying to become a parent) just dont like kids. They dont want to see them or talk about them. Like I have friends that talk about their pet cats/etc all the time, but never have a word to say about any of my posts relating to my kids. I sometimes wonder if one day, when they have kids, they will understand that I feel the way about my kids that they feel about their pets. And no, I dont think people need to respond to every post about my kids; its not about that. But there have been situations where one of my kids have nearly died, and just no recognition at all that I even HAVE kids. I guess its just . . . weird . . . especially when they seem to think their pets are worth talking about like children. Maybe because Ive always loved kids, I just dont get it. Or they dont get it. Who knows :P
