Having moved to Koregaon Park, #Pune a while back, I have passed @KrustysIndia on many occasions, and honestly the place didnt intrigue me enough to stop and enter. BIG MISTAKE! Oh my God! Its probably the best #european cuisine Ive had in Pune. The interiors has a simple, casual and comfortable look along with a well stocked bar. Since we visited for lunch, it was brightly lit with the natural light streaming through. You can visit for a fine breakfast to a kitty lunch or a drink after work. The place though casual has a fine dining feel. Rohan, one of the founders of Krustys emphasised the amount of research and care it took to achieve the culinary creations. One could really relate the effort and expertise in each dish, each bite transporting you to you culinary heaven. The Potato Boats, having a generous amount of corn salsa, with a hint of rucola was decent, while the Peri Peri spiced chicken skewers with a burnt garlic mayo dip was delish. The roasted red beet salad with orange and balsamic vinaigrette was outstanding. Usually I dislike beetroot, but with the varied flavours of green apple, walnut and orange merging beautifully had me going for a second helping. The Pizza was crisp, thin crust and perfect. The Pan grilled Polenta with red wine and mushrooms..again mushrooms and polenta not my glass of wine , but the tastes, flavours and textures were unbeatable. Didnt really need that glass of wine :). The Grilled Red Snapper was epic and would head back there specifically for that. Stuffed, but couldnt stop eating, the next visit will be one sin at a time. Todays was the Belgian Dark Chocolate Fondant. Sinful to say the least. Krustys is a must visit and is on the North Main road at Koregaon Park. Come with an empty stomach and loose clothing.
