Having placed Home by another way at #3 on my list, we arrive at the 4 spot. Dwight and Producer/ lead guitarist Pete Anderson where such a great team. Pete is another phenom. Hes the one who introduced me to Dwight and all the guys and crew. I love the Memphis influenced horn sound and how the music is reminiscent of the great Reverend Al Green. I remember often at Christmas would stand at the sink washing dishes and sing this song, and she would always tell of the pain and fear he had while he was off to war. Ok, I get it. Guess thats why I often cry when hearing certain Christmas songs. I must got it from my mom...:). Great days.... again Pete and Dwight were the 1 2 punch for sure. I call their great song: 1000 mile from nowhere, the Layla of country music. Petes guitar work on the song is beyond great.check the video and youll see the great Kelly Willis in a cameo role.....
