Having read of Steven Steads burglary, and of other dreadful happenings to my friends. - To the Human Rights adherents. At what point do we stop feeling sorry for criminals ? Can a criminal be allowed rights, or does the mere act of abusing anothers personal space deny one those rights ? Im confused. 45 years ago, all the psychobabble gobbledegook about feeling sorry for the perpetrators of crime, because of their upbringing/circumstance/they dont know any better started creeping into our teacher training curriculum. Balderdash, I say. There is no excuse on the planet for any criminal behaviour..... If those decent enough amongst us can carry on with our lives, without stealing the physical or emotional belongings of others, everyone should be able so to do. I am sick and tired of being told I must feel sorry for those less fortunate. I could also be less fortunate if I didnt work so @#$%^&* hard for what I have.
