Having read the Federal govt Allocation for the month of May,i wonder what our Senators are doing in Abuja.It,s easy for people to blame Obi,Chime,Elechi,Orji and loquatious Rochas for not using the south-east governors forum office to develop Igbo land but nobody blames our lawmakers at Abuja.Apart from southsouth that got #285bn because of I3% derivation agreement which to me is justified,how can north central get #IO5bn,north east #IO9bn,south west #I27bn,north west #I57bn but Umu-Igbo #85bn?Some months ago,Sen Smart Adeyemi from Kogi state led north central Senators to argue at the floor of the house that the oil in Aguleri which Gov Obi laboured for Anambra to be named the IOth oil producing state in nija belongs to the Ibaji people of Kogi state but Senators especially those from Anambra state didn,t form a caucus to present there own arguement.Some of these Senators are warming up for Anambra guber election.Creation of an extra state in the east has been put in abeyance because our Senators didn,t do much to lobby and push for it and this is one of the reasons for the poor #87bn to the Jews in Nigeria.Senator Ngige removed his shoes after his victory at Tourist Garden Hotel Awka,standing on bare foot as a Chief to address a section of his supporters vowed that he,ll lead Igbo Senators at Abuja as a former governor to give ndi Igbo the representation they,ve not had.Up till now ,he,s not even sponsored a bill or represented ndi Igbo.It will be a shameful thing for ndi Igbo especially ndi Anambra to vote for some Senators who haven,t done anything at Abuja to govern them.May God help us.
