Having tallied Novembers totals, found a wealth of POSITIVE data! I thought I had cut back on grocery expenses this month, believing that the amount we spent on eating out and junk food as a percentage may have gone UP. Actually, we went from $.72/$1.00 down to $.39/$1.00 thats 46% decline! Thats Awesome! =) Wasteful Spending was also down from $191.29 or 7.79% of my income last month, to only $113.07 or 4.61% a 41% decline! And, heres a REAL shocker. I saved $159.43 or 6.5% over the same period, which marks the first time, perhaps EVER, that my savings have out-paced my wasteful spending (heavily aided by being busy at work the past two nights, Christmas is coming.... this will possibly pass). And then, finally, the Charitable Giving figure..... which I have struggled for months to push the needle OVER 10% where it belongs. This month, we got it to 15% Child Support remains a huge expense, representing 30% of my take-home pay, but feel like I am making incremental progress in getting that alleged past-due balance paid down. My out of pocket fuel expense was also out of the park this month, a mere 1.63% beyond what Im allotted for fuel expense from work or $34 of my own money. I did not expect such positive results, but seems to prove that adorning your budgeting aspirations with work clothes actually does have some benefit. Who knew? :P
