Having the day after bliss from having experienced a beautiful night of music. One of my favorite overheard thoughts about the night: This felt like a secret show where someone told their friend who told their friend to come to this warehouse, where everyone is completely quiet listening to this beautiful music. And at the door the secret password is SWORDFISH. You gotta say that to get in. (Im stealing that password for a future show.) I always want a million people to show up & hear my favorite music, and yet my fave shows are the intimate ones. Here is another Alice Boman video for you. I highly recommend getting her album, EPII, which Im enjoying on repeat. Seattle & Minneapolis, look out, you are one of the lucky cities which she is singing in soon. Also feeling grateful that we have such a rich local music climate here: Ghost Town Jenny (Kim Kylland!) & Kelly McFarling (+ Andrew Brennan, Sonya Cotton, & Gabe Dominguez!!) sounded soooooooooo good.
