Having the honor of being elected as Berkeley County Councilman on 3 occasions has been one of the highest privileges in my life. I was recently reminded where my passion for public service originated when visiting my father over the holidays. My father supported six kids but always found time to make it to baseball, basketball or swim meets all while serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Parish Council member at church, and Chairman of Planning Board, Councilman and Deputy Mayor of my home town. He taught me that public service in any capacity is an obligation. Well tonight I am going to take my passion for public service to the next level. Effective noon January 6th I am resigning my seat on Berkeley County Council and will be accepting the position of Deputy Supervisor of Berkeley County. I appreciate the the support I have received from my constituents and citizens all throughout Berkeley County over the past 8 years and look forward to continue to serve you in my new position.
