Having thought long and hard for some time now, I think Ill just - TopicsExpress

Having thought long and hard for some time now, I think Ill just vote YES to be certain of gaining the powers we need to make Scotland a successful independent country. What an opportunity. What a privilege. Can someone from Better Together give me a compelling reason to vote no on 18 September? The unholy alliance of Tories, Labour and Lib Dems have threatened and bullied us. Theyve told us we cannot use the pound. Theyve promised more austerity. Theyve told us our mortgages will cost more. Theyve tried every scare tactic in the book. Theyre even got the cheek to tell us we have the best of both worlds while never explaining what that means. Because they have deemed that to be the case, they would have us vote no to the powers Scotland needs to govern itself. Until the intervention by Boris (actually, call me a cynic, but I didnt believe it even before he waded in) we were being asked to believe that, in return for turning our backs on all the powers, we would be granted considerably fewer additional powers by Westminster. No Thanks. After all, if we would be better together why are we not already better together? The reality is Westminster can take our parliament away if they like so Ill vote YES to protect it and build on the society Scots have created, quite distinct from the rest of the UK, with limited powers and money. Think what we could do if we were in full control of all Scotlands resources.
