Hawaii... My final morning on the tropical island consisted of a lunch of spicy ahi and salmon... Yummm... Off to Honolulu airport to check in for our flight to the big Apple, New York city... Farewell friends... NYC... The home of Spider-man and apparently the stomping ground of the Avengers and aliens of all types and sizes... The baseball furies, the lizzies, the rouges and the rest of the pack that gave the warriors a hard time getting home to Coney island... Warriors... Come out to play yay... Welcomed surprise from Katchafires former USA tour manager Harry Cummings (an informant leaked info that he was on the same flight but i made out to look surprised anyway lol) along for the flight to visit family on the mainland... Great to see you bro... Miss you. Well... The flight was the usual exciting sit strapped to your boring seat for 8.5 hours of nothingness of which i never slept a wink because my butt cheeks was numbing due to all the idleness... I think i did 50 laps of the whole plane during the flight lol... I was only too happy to hear the announcement of our approach into JFK airport... What a relief... Although we landed ahead of schedule, the 1 mile per hour taxi to our terminal for 20mins more than made up for it lol... Now picture me stepping off of the plane like i was Neil Armstrong taking his first step onto the moons surface... Woohoo NYC here i come... Perfect timing as we exited the terminal for moments after collecting our luggage, were met by the majority of our tour party, James Peters, Lance LaVigne and Cisko... 15 mins later were on our drive along the freeway to our accom, gazing in amazement at what i could see of the city in the distance... Closer and closer as we pass through Harlem... Weaving through the busy streets of New York, now overwhelmed by nothing but concrete and brick architecture, huge structures stand tall on either side of our dwarfed Mercedes van... This is crazy, slow moving traffic everywhere, no wonder theres a lot of taxis here, it would be pointless for anyone to own a vehicle because youll probably get around quicker on a push bike or walking. Oh bummer time... Rooms not ready, too early to check in (it was only 9.00am) so we all just plop around in an i cant be stuffed moving fashion as we await our rooms... Not having anything to eat during the flight, the rumbles in my stomach gets the better of me so i visit a deli around the block to buy food... A whole roasted chicken lol... Hey half now, half later aye Barely awake, i hear the hotel staff walk over... Theres another room up so Gee and i grab it... Midday... Shower, bed for much needed sleep... Zzzzzz... See ya when i wake up sunny New York... More later...
