Hawaii residents after two years of the state senator who told me - TopicsExpress

Hawaii residents after two years of the state senator who told me he was introducing the law and nothing has happened I reached out last week to new state legislators and found success immediately. After a simple email explaining my global mission to many senators one immediately took action. Senator Gilbert Keith-Agaran contacted me this week and has already drafted the bill to be submitted and wanted me to approve it or make changes before he submitted it. I must say of all the states I have worked with it is one of the best written bills for Erins Law. This is some background on what will happen next with this bill. From the Senators office today they said this, In order for a bill to become a law, the bill must receive three readings (or approving votes) on the floor of each chamber (the House with 51 members and the Senate with 25 members). The House and Senate must vote on final reading on identical language in order for the bill to be sent to the Governor for consideration. All bills are considered by committees and must be recommended for second or third reading by those committees.Once introduced, I will monitor the bill and let you know when it is scheduled for a hearing. Will know more in January 2015. Ohio residents Erins Law has passed out of education committee it will hopefully be heard this Fall again to be voted on. Otherwise we have to start over in January which wont be the worst thing since legislators are already familiar with it and support it on the House side. Will keep you posted. Testifying end of October in Oklahoma. More details to come. Illinois residents and some in Wisconsin/Indiana tune in next Monday or set your DVR to Windy City Live on ABC7 at 11am. I will be interviewed top of the hour all on Erins Law.
