Hay All! Thanks for the add! I thought maybe you all might have some good resources on compost, as in for home gardener. Its for a friend, hes just moved out to Iowa, where he grew up. Hes 65. Cant afford to live in Bay Area, nor deal with the traffic, & he now has an acreage, 2.5 acres or so, which wants to start turning into a food forest, more or less, definitely gardening. Lately, in Iowa, it can get very cold, last year, -30ºF at times, but I still think hell try & make a pile by the house, where he can dump kitchen scraps off the kitchen patio. Ive been studying permaculture, but I cant think of good (read simple, not overwhelming, but permie-oriented) reading material on compost, for a newbie. Im giving him a run-down, but any one have any suggestions on reading materials? Bonus points for systems great for cold temperatures...
