Haymon continued his signing binge on Friday; Signing welterweight contender (and former featherweight and junior lightweight titlist) Robert The Ghost Guerrero. Guerrero co-manager Luis DeCubas Jr. and Sam Watson, Haymons right-hand man, both told ESPN that the deal was signed. Also signning this week the Peterson brothers -- junior welterweight titlist Lamont and lightweight Anthony -- along with junior lightweight contender Rances Barthelemy, according to Sam Watson, Haymons right-hand man. “We signed them and were happy to have them, Watson said. The signings come on the heels of other recent signings that include light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson, former welterweight titleholder Luis Collazo and former light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson. Were very excited. I think its proven that Al Haymon is the top adviser in boxing, said DeCubas, who also has junior middleweight titlist Erislandy Lara with Haymon. Robert is one of the top welterweights in the world. Its the hottest division and were ready to fight. Robert is looking at all comers and were looking to take over the division. Promoters Top Rank and K2 Promotions are getting closer to making what could be one of the best fights of the year: a super middleweight showdown between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and middleweight titleholder Gennady Golovkin, who would move up to 168 pounds for the 12-round bout. The fight, which would be on HBO PPV, is being negotiated for July 12 and would take place at the newly renovated Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
