Hays Derivatives AnalystToronto, Canada Area, CA - Banking Hays Accounting and Finance and their client, a Canadian based bank, are seeking to hire a Derivative Analyst for a 12 – 14 month maternity leave contract. As the Derivative Analyst, you will be accountable for providing professional, timely and efficient transaction documentation and administrative support in a high profile environment for North American, Europe and Asian (fixed income) based trading in derivative products. As the Derivative Analyst you will also be accountable for the independent processing, monitoring and review of the over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transaction confirmations and amendments, thereby managing the day-to-day relationship of the banks clients in respect to the documentation of OTC Derivative transactions. This activity provides a critical role in validating the booking of transactions and providing documentary evidence of the transaction in the case of a dispute. The confirmation activity is achieved through the exchange of paper-based confirmations and through the use of third-party electronic matching systems. As the Derivative Analyst you will also be accountable for running and reviewing daily transaction listings identifying all transactions that require a confirmation, reconciling daily transaction listings and ensuring each transaction has a corresponding form of trade ticket. As the Derivative Analyst you will also be accountable for the timely and accurate review of incoming confirmations and the preparation of outgoing confirmations for approval by traders, marketers and/or other required approvers. As the Derivative Analyst you will also be accountable for assuming the primary responsibility for examination and agreement of the terms and conditions for confirmation documents received from the issuing counterparties within the terms and conditions stipulated on the trade ticket.
