Hays Design Manager - Rail IndustrySydney Area, Australia, AU - Civil Engineering, Design Sydney Based Long Term Contract Government Organisation This large Local Government organisation is part of an initiative to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure. Due to an increase in workload, this organisation is looking to employ a number of Design Managers based in Sydney, to work on upcoming rail projects. As Design Manager, you will manage the development and improvement of technical designs related to all buildings including managing the design of Metropolitan & Country Station Platforms and Footbridges & Subways, ferry wharves, bus depots and other transport infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and professional advice on safety issues. You will also manage all operational inputs including costs and risk management, and you will monitor and evaluate all designs to ensure compliance standards are met. As the right candidate for this role, you will be degree qualified in an Architectural, Building, Engineering or related discipline. You will have extensive experience within rail, with NSW experience preferred. Your interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, will be key to your success.
