Due to substantial growth over the last 18 months a fantastic opportunity has now become available for a senior management professional to step in as the new managing director being responsible for the profitability and operations of the business. Duties will include: Exerting financial control including oversight of sales, margins and costs. Increasing the effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new systems and structures. Driving and mentoring staff. Managing daily operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Drive business development including management of tenders. Supervise the company departments and ensure of the implementation of company strategies and processes. Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services. Working with the Directors to develop long-term strategies for the business growth and client engagement. To be considered for this position you will have the following experience: Five to seven years proven company management experience at a senior level Must possess a proven skill set in building and managing efficient and productive processes. Must demonstrate leadership, problem solving and team building skills. Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate, lead by example and create an environment that encourages open communication and trust. Possess the ability to review and align individual and team performance to business goals and demonstrate initiative and ownership for decisions and business outcomes. Knowledge of the electrical contracting or sustainably technology would be an advantage. Ability to monitor, manage and control costs and margins. Ability to deal with difficult and sometimes complex customer enquiries.
