He Wants It All - Were in a spirit of giving and Christ is in a spirit of receiving. But what can you buy for the King of Kings who already owns everything? He bought our salvation with His blood. What could we possibly offer Him, in return, that carries as much worth or even a fraction of what Hes already given us? He paid the price for our salvation, so He could redeem us from sin. He died for the entire world simply because He loved us so. His sacrifice secured us an eternal home in heaven. His gift afforded us a close intimate walk with the Father while on earth. Of everything we possess, what can we really give to God? Lets explore what we have. Christ redeemed the spirit but the soul of man has to be submitted to His authority through our effort. Its quite possible to lived a saved life without ever surrendering our soul to God. Many call Him Savior, but not everyone calls Him Lord over all. Ok, so our heart must choose to submit to undergoing a supernatural transformation. Our thoughts must submit to developing the mind of Christ. Our will, like the flesh, must die daily before living life as Gods sees fit. Our emotions must seek after developing and displaying the fruit of His Spirit. It seems a gift this size would take a lifetime to give to Christ. Yet if He wants anything and we have the power to give it to Him, why hold it back from Him? Im persuaded to believe Christ did all He did to position Himself for a chance to receive the one thing He didnt purchase. This thing He couldnt redeem without our volitional choice to give Him what He truly yearns for. The most expensive gift we can give God is our heart. The present He wants most from us is everything our heart contains. The good and the bad, the things that make us happy and the things that make us sad, He wants it all. All of our dreams, desires, visions, fears, worries and anxieties, He wants it all. If we give Him the things that we long to receive, and release them to Him in faith, He has the space to return them to us in manifested blessings. If we give Him the bad things that cause us to worry, be afraid and doubtful, He has space to come in and strengthen our weak places. To be Lord over our lives is the greatest gift we can give Him. The ability to reign in us as God alone, is all He really desires. To sit with us, to have intimate fellowship with us, to become one with us is His greatest need. All that we are is a phenomenal present to receive in Gods eyes. Since He wants it all, lets give Him our everything. Jesus said to him, You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37 (NKJV)
