He covers the window with foil, And pulls the shades down, He hangs a blanket over it all, To keep the sunlight out So dark within his room, The sun no longer shines, The world beyond his window, A forgotten point in time The sun once filled his room, With warmth and joyful light, It made him smile so happily, It took away his fright He allowed the sun within the room, It scorched his pale fair skin, Through his trust he got burned, And he felt the pain within Now the window is covered up, No one can see inside, He stays within the cold dark room, With a fear of whats outside The scars of the sun upon his skin, And the broken heart inside, Keeps the window covered up, So no one can get inside He sits in there alone, His way of keeping things together, Locked up within himself, Within his room forever
