He did, he did. I know the top one is true. He was a young teen, and his father had a job seizing the property of the Jews that were deported to Hitlers death camps. Despite all common sense, when the Germans realized the war was lost and could not be turned around, they actually stepped up the processing of the Jews. The son of the Hungarian emperor was kidnapped by the SS and flown to Germany, as a hostage. This all happened in 1944, as the Soviet Army approached. Hitlers pet was a commando named Otto Skorzeny, who accomplished impossible feats. In 1943, after Mussolini was ferried from one hiding place to another, Skorzeny learned he was being held at Campo Imperatore Hotel, atop the tallest peak in the Central Italian Apennine Mountains: Gran Sasso. Accessible only by a single cable car. He landed his commando team atop the peak in a glider, and rescued Mussolini without firing a shot. In response to President Miklos Horthys public declaration of Hungarys alliance with the Soviets, Hitler sent Skorzeny on October 15, 1944 to kidnap his 37 year old son, and hold him hostage. Hitler was brutal to negotiate with! They lined up four trains a day with 45 cattle cars (in the winter) and the harvest of Jews kicked into high gear (12,000 per day). They commandos lured the young Prince into a trap, beat him unconscious, rolled him up in a carpet and smuggled him through the city streets to an airport. He was flown to Vienna, where he spent the rest of the war as a guest of the SS in Bavaria. I am posting another picture, dated October 20, 1944, less than a week after the kidnapping. Obviously the King acted quickly. This is a picture of lovely women, some of whom I would be happy to have myself. Led to the slaughter. George Soros was a young teen then, in his fifteenth year. I hope I am not wrong is saying that his father had a job seizing the Jew property. This could be stocks, bonds, cash, gold, furniture and real estate. Quite an interesting and rewarding job for a teen boy. I have seen it in print that the young Mr. Soros fondly remembers helping his father.
